About
Hey! I’m Daniel Vidal Merino, a Colombian born sound designer and mixer currently based in the United States.
My main focus professionally has been a mixture of post-production work and studio work—Covering pretty much everything from sound effects creation and mixing, to music editing, dialog recording and mastering.
I first earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Los Andes, in Bogotá, Colombia. I later achieved my Master’s Degree in Sound Design, from the Savannah College of Art and Design, focusing on cinematic sound design and interactive mediums such as video games. I’ve been fortunate enough to work at places such as Q division studios in Boston, MA—And also at Turn 10 Studios, an Xbox First Party game studio at Microsoft, as the sole sound designer on the media cinematics team.
Most of my free time is spent researching and learning the ins and outs of software to better prepare myself for any task, working on my modular synth (I am a huge synth enthusiast), and playing video games.
